HONOURING OUR PAST, EMBRACING OUR FUTURE

Clubs Napier, formerly known as the Napier Returned and Services Association Inc (Napier RSA), is a cornerstone of the Hawke’s Bay community, blending a century-old legacy with a vibrant, inclusive future.

A LEGACY OF SERVICE & SUPPORT

Established in 1916, the Napier RSA was founded by local men who recognised the need for an organisation to support soldiers returning from the Gallipoli and European conflicts. These veterans often faced challenges reintegrating into society, both physically and mentally. The association provided a safe, understanding, and social environment, far removed from the horrors of conflict. Over time, the organisation evolved to include all service personnel, their families, and the wider community, reflecting its commitment to remembrance, compassion, and camaraderie.

In 2016, the Napier RSA celebrated its centenary, marking a significant milestone as one of New Zealand's longest continually trading RSAs. This achievement underscored its enduring role in supporting veterans and fostering community spirit. The association's commitment to service continued to thrive, offering a range of activities, from sports and social events to remembrance ceremonies.

A CENTuRY OF COMMUNITY

EMBRACING THE CHANGE: THE BIRTH OF CLUBS NAPIER

In 2025, recognising the evolving needs of the community, the Napier RSA rebranded as Clubs Napier. This transition reflects a broader, more inclusive approach, welcoming not only veterans and service personnel but also their families and the public. The rebranding signifies a commitment to honouring the past while embracing a vibrant future, offering modern facilities and a welcoming environment for all.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY

Today, Clubs Napier continues to uphold the values of its founders - service, support, and community. With a range of facilities and activities, including dining options, entertainment, and social events, Clubs Napier stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of camaraderie and service.

Our doors are open and we welcome all.
